EMBRACING ALL PATHWAYS TO RECOVERY
The Change Center is a welcoming, non-clinical hub for addiction recovery that is open to anyone in the community – whether connected to Aspire or not.
Fully operated by individuals in long-term recovery, The Change Center embraces all pathways to recovery and empowers individuals and families to rebuild their lives around the core principle of changing people, places, and things. As the only non-clinical program within Aspire, it provides a safe and supportive environment where participants can connect with peers who share lived experiences of addiction and recovery, encouraging healthy socialization after periods of isolation.
MEANINGFUL, LASTING CHANGE
Peer-led activities are thoughtfully designed to engage, educate, and support participants as they make meaningful, lasting changes. Services are tailored to individual needs and promote self-determination, self-advocacy, well-being, and independence through:
- Social support and recovery meetings that build connection and reduce loneliness
- Artistic recovery support and recovery-focused training that foster creativity and create outlets
- Connections to community resources for housing, employment, shelters, and other essential services
- Practical assistance with overcoming common barriers, including obtaining identification, birth certificates, Social Security cards, creating resumes, completing job applications, and preparing for interviews
RENEWED HOPE
Success at The Change Center is reflected in renewed hope.
Feelings of hopelessness are transformed into self-confidence, belonging, and a belief that change is achievable and lasting. Participants often regain confidence and are able to pursue employment, secure stable housing, and build fulfilling lives. As a vital community resource, The Change Center strengthens the broader recovery network and demonstrates that meaningful change is possible for everyone.
