Community Residential Rehabilitation II (Journey II)
Journey II, also known as Community Residential Rehabilitation II (CRR II), provides structured residential support for adults who need intensive assistance. The program helps individuals maintain stability, strengthen daily living skills, and move toward greater independence.
Journey II offers a supervised, home-like setting for adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. Individuals receive support with recovery, housing stability, daily responsibilities, and participation in the community.
Services are based on each individual’s strengths, needs, preferences, and recovery goals.
Program Services Include:
- Structured residential support in a home-like setting
- Individual recovery and behavioral support planning
- Help with personal care, household tasks, and daily living skills
- Support with medications, health, safety, and wellness
- Budgeting and independent living skills
- Community involvement and social connections
- Rehabilitative supervision and personal support
- Planning for the next level of care or housing
- Journey II also helps individuals build natural support systems, connect with behavioral health and medical services, and create a housing plan that supports continued stability.
Who the Program Serves
Journey II serves adults ages 18 and older with serious and persistent mental illness who need intensive residential support to live safely in the community.
Individuals may benefit from Journey II if they need help:
- Maintaining stable housing
- Managing daily responsibilities
- Reducing crisis or hospital involvement
- Strengthening recovery skills
- Preparing for a less restrictive living environment
Length of Stay
Journey II is a transitional residential program. The typical length of stay is 12 to 18 months, depending on each individual’s needs, progress, and continued need for support.
Getting Started
Referrals are submitted through Aspire’s residential referral process. The residential team reviews each referral to determine eligibility and whether Journey II is the appropriate level of support.
Priority may be given to individuals who are preparing to leave or have recently left a state psychiatric hospital or Crisis Stabilization Unit.
Success in Journey II
Success may include greater stability, increased independence, stronger daily living skills, fewer crises or hospital stays, and stronger connections to community support.
The goal is to help individuals maintain recovery, take part in community life, and move toward the housing setting that best meets their needs.
