Promoting Advocacy & Connection (PAC)

Promoting Advocacy & Connection (PAC) is Aspire’s peer mentoring program for individuals and families facing mental health or substance use challenges. The program connects them with trained peer mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and support based on their own lived experiences.

PAC strengthens recovery communities by building meaningful relationships and helping individuals advocate for themselves and others.

Program Services Include:

  • Peer mentoring for individuals and families facing behavioral health challenges
  • Support from Certified Peer Specialist Parents (CPS-P) and Certified Peer Specialist Youth (CPS-Y)
  • Opportunities for individuals in recovery to work toward peer specialist certification
  • Advocacy training and leadership development for individuals with lived experience

Success in PAC may include an individual moving from receiving support to becoming an advocate or mentor. These individuals can then use their experience to help others along their recovery journeys.
